Data & Security
OutSay is built around voice practice, so audio, transcripts and feedback are handled as sensitive product data. This page explains the practical controls we use and the limits of what we store.
Voice recordings and transcripts
When you record a practice answer, the audio is uploaded so OutSay can transcribe it, generate feedback and create the next step in the practice session. Transcripts and feedback are connected to your account so you can review your progress inside the app.
AI processing
OutSay uses AI services to transcribe answers, evaluate communication quality and generate coaching suggestions. AI output can be imperfect, so feedback should be treated as practice guidance rather than professional, legal, medical, financial or employment advice.
Account and subscription data
Account details, authentication sessions, subscription status and purchase events are used to keep your account secure, unlock paid features and prevent abuse. Payments are handled by the App Store or Google Play; OutSay does not receive your full card number.
Push notifications
If you enable reminders, OutSay stores a push token and reminder preferences so the app can send practice prompts. You can turn reminders off in the app settings or through your device notification settings.
Storage and access controls
Data is protected in transit using HTTPS. Access to production systems is limited to the services and operational workflows needed to run OutSay, troubleshoot issues, protect the service and respond to user requests.
Retention and deletion
Practice history is stored so you can review completed sessions and track progress. If you delete your account, OutSay starts the account deletion process and removes or disconnects account data according to the Privacy Policy and any legal, payment, fraud-prevention or security obligations that still apply.
